2016 ART STUDENT EXHIBIT

It is with great pride that the Art Department at Nassau Community College presents the 2016 Art Student Competition Exhibit. Each year the exhibit celebrates the talents of the many art students at Nassau Community College. The exhibition overflows with the talented work of our students, serving as a showcase of the varied media taught within the Art Department curriculum.
All of these artists have enrolled in an art course at Nassau Community College at some point during the past year. Some of these artists have taken one art class; others have taken many. Many of the artists are declared art majors, while some are undecided. The artists’ backgrounds are as varied as the work itself.
An exhibit such as this requires an overwhelming amount of labor and time. It is not only the voices of many artists; it is the work of many hands. The Gallery would like to extend thanks to the Art Department Faculty for encouraging their students to enter the exhibit, to the Gallery Committee for their cooperation in curating the exhibit, to the Curatorial Assistants and student interns, and to all of those creative forces who helped once again to bring together a fascinating exhibit of student expression.
The exhibit will be open until May 12th with the Artists’ Reception on Tuesday, April 12th from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. The Awards Ceremony will begin promptly at 6:00 PM.

LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY (495) – to the Northern State Parkway. Northern State Parkway to the Meadowbrook Parkway South (Exit 31A/Jones Beach). Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4-Hempstead/Coliseum. Follow the sign for Charles Lindbergh Boulevard. At the first traffic light turn right, which leads into the NCC parking lot.
MANHATTAN -Queens Midtown Tunnel (34th Street & 2nd Avenue) to Long Island Expressway (L.I.E.) East (495). Take LIE East to Northern State Parkway East. Northern State Parkway East to Meadowbrook Parkway South (Exit 31A/Jones Beach). Meadowbrook Parkway to Exit M4-Hempstead/Coliseum. Follow the sign for Charles Lindbergh Boulevard. At the first traffic light turn right, which leads into the NCC parking lot.
The Gallery is located in CCB Building Room 140.
