The Water Mill Museum invites guests to join us for a beautiful showcase of American handicraft! The Museum is now taking submissions for its 30th Annual Quilt Show and Sale. Quilts of all patterns, sizes, and ages will be displayed at the Museum from Friday, August 19th through Sunday, September 18th.
Those who wish to submit a quilt (for sale or display) must submit a registration form (available on the Museum website, at http://watermillmuseum.org/QuiltShow.html) by July 30th.
2016 also marks the 40th anniversary of the Water Mill Museum’s first quilt raffle. This year’s lucky winner stands to walk home with a beautiful queen-sized quilt in pastel green, blue floral, white and pink, which will be on display at the Museum from now until the drawing on October 8th. Raffle tickets may be purchased at the Museum during normal hours at $5 for one ticket, or $20 for a book of six tickets. All proceeds support the Museum, which is now completing restoration and repairs to its historic 17th-century mill. The winner need not be present at the drawing; he or she will be contacted by the Museum to make arrangements for delivery.
