The Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission’s 35th Annual Meeting of Membership will be held on Monday, November 17th.
In accordance with the By-Laws of the Long Island Convention and Visitors Bureau and Sports Commission, the following is the report of the Nominating Committee which met on October 7, 2014 and recommends the following:
The committee recommends the election of the five (5) qualified individuals currently filling vacant board seats, to a three (3) year term as members of the Board of Directors through 2017 as of the 2014 Annual Meeting.

• Marc Weinstein, Mark of Elegance Transportation Company
• David Silverman, Empire Merchants
• Monica Harbes, Harbes Family Farm & Vineyard
The By-Laws indicate that the secretary shall submit the report of the Nominating Committee together with the notice of the Annual Meeting and that:
The Secretary shall receive additional nominations for Directors made in writing and supported by signatures of not less than five (5) members in good standing up to twelve (12) business days prior to scheduled starting time of the Annual Meeting. Nominations will not be accepted from the floor.
The committee also recommends the re-election to the Board of Directors to a second three-year term:
• Theresa Duggan, C.W.Post/ LI University
• Barbara Montalbano, Fairfield Inn by Marriott
Finally, the committee also recommends the re-election to the Board of Directors to a third three-year term:
• Gloria Rocchio, Stony Brook Village Center
