Description

Artists in Partnership, Inc., a not-for-profit arts organization providing cultural arts programs to the community for over 15 years, and the Long Beach Public Library present the 5th Annual Folk-2-Funk Festival, an eclectic mix of Folk, Americana, Funk and Blues, Friday March 27th, through Sunday, March 29th at the Long Beach Public Library, 111 West Park Avenue, Long Beach, NY.
All events are FREE, but please bring non-perishable foods to be distributed to local food pantries. Please consider joining Artists in Partnership, Inc. either online at www.aip-arts.org or sign up at the event.

SCHEDULE
FRIDAY 3/27-
7:30-Steve Adelson- “Chapman Stick Man” Trio
8:30- Funky Folks: featuring Broadway World Award winner for Best Female Vocalist, Pamela Lewis, joined by John Hurley, Sean & Donna Gillen of "Code Bleu"

** Come down to LOLA's-right after the Library show- Have a cocktail and enjoy the funky music of "The Sweet Soul Music Band" at 9:30. No Cover

SATURDAY 3/28
1:00 - Children's Art and Music Workshop- make instruments from recycled materials and participate in a music/movement program featuring Robin Greenstein
3:00 - Suzanne Sheridan Band: featuring the music of Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell

SATURDAY EVENING-
7:00 - Robin Greenstein- Women in Folk Music
7:45 - Feral Matt Foster- Brooklyn's own “Roots n’ Ruckus” singer/songwriter
8:30 - Fred Thomas Band- Former James Brown Bass Man delivers Funk and Soul

** Come down to LOLA's-right after the Library show- Have a cocktail and enjoy the music of the reunited "Li'l Cliff and the Cliffhangers" at 9:30. No Cover

SUNDAY 3/29-
1:30 - Scott Barkan Trio- Indie/Folk/Blues/Roots/Jazz guitarist, singer and songwriter
2:30 - The Kennedys- The Super Duo of Maura and Pete Kennedy
3:45 - M Shanghai- Brooklyn based folk/Americana collective
