Program Presenter: Melanie Meade, South Fork Natural History Museum (SoFo) Nature Educator
Everyone knows what a tree looks like, but many adults may be unfamiliar with the actual structure and parts of a tree. We’ll walk a short way on the nature trail behind the museum and into the evergreen grove to take a closer look at trees. Observing and sketching in natural settings is a good way to enhance our memory for details. Bring a sketch pad/drawing paper (we have clip boards), drawing pencils, soft and hard, and an eraser.
Advance reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.
Cost: SoFo Members: Programs are free unless otherwise specified. Nonmembers: Adults $15, Children $10 (Ages 3-12), Ages 2 & under free. This fee includes admission to the museum, in addition to the program.
