'A Journey Four Paws' is Irene Rabinowitz's personal challenge to walk 70-miles with her dog Sydney from Barks-n-Bubbles Boutique in Centereach to “The End” in Montauk, NY over a four day period on Columbus Day Weekend. In doing this Irene wanted our journey to also benefit two organizations close to her heart. ‘A Journey Four Paws’ is a benefit event to raise money and awareness for Central Suffolk Paws, and the Long Island chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. Irene's goal is to raise $10,000 to donate equally to the Arthritis foundation and to and Central Suffolk Paws. We are seeking donations and sponsorships to help us get to that goal!

The Event will take place – Friday, October 5th – Monday, October 8th, 2012

We begin with a kick off celebration at Barks-n-Bubbles on the morning of Friday, October 5th, walking approx 22 miles into Riverhead via Rt. 25.
On Saturday, October 6th, we continue through Riverhead and head to the Hamptons via Rt. 24 to Rt. 27.
Sunday, October 7th, we will walk from Southampton to Amagansett.
Monday, October 8th, we will walk the final miles into Montauk, NY! Irene will be accompanied the entire walk by her dog Sydney. (Her other two dogs, Baxter and Misha will participate on several stretches of our walk.)

Celebration at “The End” Festivities will be from 12:30 pm – 5 pm at Oceanside Beach Resort (626 Montauk Highway, Montauk, NY 11954) and will include food, music, entertainment, dog activities raffles, goody bags and much more! The end party is $35 per person.
