Precautionary/preparedness actions... A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to one quarter mile or less. If driving...slow down...use your low beam headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed. , "Special Statement" ...Widespread fog...locally dense at times...through this afternoon across Long Island... Fog will continue across Long Island through this afternoon and possibly into early this evening. Visibilities will be frequently 1/2 to 1 1/2 statute miles...and at times a quarter mile or less...especially along the South Shore of Long Island. Visibilities will improve with a wind shift to the southwest late this afternoon into early this evening. Motorists should be on the look out for rapidly changing visibilities. Description

The American Chamber Ensemble will be in concert on Sunday, February 24 – 2:00 PM at Bar Harbour Library, 40 Harbor Lane in Massapequa Park, N.Y. The event is presented in cooperation with the Town of Oyster Bay.

In various combinations of voice, clarinet and piano, ACE presents the music of Mozart, Schubert, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Stephen Sondheim and Elie Siegmeister. Performers are clarinetist Naomi Drucker, pianist Marilyn Lehman and Karen Lehman DiMartino, soprano.
