Keynote speakers will be Harrison Hunt, and Bill Bleyer, authors of the recently released book, Long Island and the Civil War: Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk Counties During the War between the States. Hunt is retired senior curator of history and supervisor of historic sites for the Nassau County Department of Parks, including the museum at William Cullen Bryant's Cedarmere. Also actively retired, Bleyer is well-known for his thirty-three years as a prize-winningNewsday staff writer. Our guest authors will sign copies of their new book after the talk.
