Scattered power outages are expected. Limited visibilities will make travel very difficult. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Wind Advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph... or gusts of 46 to 57 mph...are expected or occurring. Winds this strong can make driving difficult...especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution. , "Gale Warning" ...Gale Warning in effect until 6 am EST Tuesday... ...Storm Warning is cancelled... The National Weather Service in Upton has issued a Gale Warning... which is in effect until 6 am EST Tuesday. The Storm Warning has been cancelled. * Winds and seas...northeast winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 45 kt. Seas 3 to 6 feet. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A Gale Warning means sustained winds or frequent gusts of 34 to 47 kt are expected or occurring. Operating a vessel in gale conditions requires experience and properly equipped vessels. Westhampton, NY, January 7, 2013 – Bideawee invites children to participate in our 5th annual “Love Your Pet Art Contest & Expo.”  Children grades 1- 8 are encouraged to use their artistic talent to express their love for animals.  Art entries can represent any medium including drawings, photos, paintings, sculpture, and finger painting, and must be accompanied by the Artwork Entry Form, which can be downloaded at

The first 300 art entries will be displayed at Bideawee to be viewing by the public on February 8, 9 & 10th.  All are invited to view these expressions of love for pets and vote for their favorite entries.  A $5 donation will grant entrance into the show and help continue to care for the pets in need at Bideawee.

Prizes will be awarded in four groupings based on the child’s grade year in school: 1st - 2nd, 3rd - 4th,

5th - 6th and 7th - 8th.  All winning students will receive prizes from Splish Splash, Tanger Outlets, Dave & Busters, Long Island Aquarium and more!  The Teachers of the winning students will received a $100 Visa Gift Card from Teachers Federal Credit Union.
