Date & Time
Join author Peter Rupert Lighte as he shares delightful stories and celebrates the release of his newest book, Host of Memories: Tales of Inevitable Happenstance.
Lighte has taught Chinese history and philosophy, and lived abroad for 30 years, dividing his time between London and Asia. Active in Princeton alumni activities, he is a calligrapher, mosaicist and also the author of Pieces of China. He lives in Princeton, New Jersey, with his husband and their two daughters.
From Kirkus Reviews: “Lighte, a longtime Sinophile and J.P. Morgan banker, exploits both meanings of the title by taking on the role of solicitous tour guide: ‘As a hospitable host in this room, I will give a guided tour of its interior’ while curating his impressively detailed memories like precious artifacts. Lively, evocative autobiographical essays.”
