The Jewish Association Serving the Aging (JASA) invites caregivers and professionals working with caregivers to the annual Caring for the Caregiver Conference where they can learn about tools and resources available to the caregiving community. On November 7, 2014 from 8:30am to 1:00pm at Molloy College Suffolk Campus, 7180 Republic Airport, East Farmingdale, NY 11735, over 100 professionals, community members, government partners and individual caregivers will come together for a comprehensive series of lectures, panel discussions and educational presentations.
The one-day conference is a great opportunity for caregivers to improve and adopt new skills in order to provide outstanding service to their patients, while advancing many aspects of their own profession. The event will offer unique lectures focused on multiple topics including “Getting Your Legal/Financial Issues in Order,” “Depression and Aging,” “Palliative and End of Life Care,” “Coping with Caregiver Stress,” “Veterans Benefits,” and “Pain Management.”
Tickets for caregivers and students are free. Other professionals can purchase tickets in advance for $10, or pay $20 at the door.
