Description

Two-Day, Multi-Venue, Multi-Activity Event to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day.  March 21 is World Down Syndrome Day. 

Dates:  Saturday, May 21 and Sunday, May 22, 2015.

Venues:  Castello Di Borghese Vineyard and Winery, Cutchogue; Macari Vineyards, Mattituck; L.I. Aquarium and Exhibition Center, Riverdale.

Activities:  Vineyard Tour; Opening Reception DOWNrightART exhibition; Dinner; Dance Performance by NuBella Productions; Visit to Aquarium with guided tour and lunch.

Fee:  Some activities are free of charge.  Some carry a fee.

All proceeds from this event will support Down syndrome research.  Alexander's Angels is an all volunteer 501c3 organization.

Down syndrome occurs when the 21st chromosome, rather than duplicate, triplicates. A very symbolic March 21 (3/21) was chosen in 2006 by Down Syndrome International (DSI) to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. The date has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012 through a proclamation petitioned by thousands of people around the world, including our members.
