LI's first CHILDRENS' OCD SUPPORT GROUP! Amy of N. Merrick is planning to start it. It will be co-facilitated by Amy and by OCD Behavioral Therapist Warren Barlowe. Amy's daughter Ashley, who is 9 years old, is very successfully recovering from very difficult OCD, and wants to share her courage, knowlege and confidence with other kids ages 7 - 11 years old. It will be an open-discussion club, not specifically a group.therapy program, but a place where kids with OCD from anywhere on LI can discover they're not 'crazy', they're not alone, and they can find comforting peer support and encouragement from other kids their age, to learn to recover from OCD! The group will be under the supervision and guidance of OCD Behavioral Therapist Warren Barlowe, who has been running OCD groups and helping adults and children get their lives back for over 20 years.
