Description

Rose are red, Violates are blue, I suck at poems, let's go bar hopping.

Valentine’s Day, or Saint Valentine’s Day, has evolved from a story of Martyrdom to a celebration of love. Didn’t know that? Neither did I (thank you Wikipedia). What says love more than giving back to a great cause? Whether you are single, dating, married, or otherwise involved, come celebrate this weekend of love at our first annual Cupid’s Bar Crawl in benefit of MoRE. Please learn more about this organization and the amazing work that they do at their website – www.kidsneedmore.org

This year we have decided to go with a stoplight theme. Please wear either red, yellow, or green. Wear red if you are NOT single, or NOT looking. Wear yellow if you’d like to confuse people and enjoy watching them squirm. Lastly, wear green if you are ready to mingle, or you like shots being bought for you! Still confused? Click Here

To encourage socializing and an overall good time, we will have a few fun games and activities along the way.  So come join the fun and support a great cause at the same time!

When: Saturday, February 13th 2016

Where: Huntington Village

Why:

Because what else are you going to do in the middle of the day on Saturday?

Because with your help last year (2015) we were able to send 3 kids to camp with KiDS NEED MoRE. This year we need your help to send even more! I strongly encourage all of you to visit either http://longislandsocialevents.com/charities/ or http://kidsneedmore.org/about/ to learn more, but for those of you that won’t here is a quick blurb from MoRE’s website:

In 1990, a group of concerned parents created a camping experience for their children diagnosed with cancer and their siblings.  Camp Adventure now serves the east coast and tri-state area.  It remains one of the only camps of its kind to serve child cancer patients and siblings.

In 2013, a dedicated group of  Camp Adventure volunteers began KiDS NEED M♥RE(Motivational Recovery Environments, Inc.) to parent the camp and ensure its longevity.

With the help of many wonderful people, we will be able to continue Camp Adventure, where children coping with cancer can celebrate life in a safe and positive environment while providing respite for their families and caregivers.

With the love and support of so many amazing people we now provide other programs and services throughout the year for our kids and their families.
