Award-winning author Dr. Elizabeth Nunez will read from her memoir Not for Everyday Use at the Amityville Public Library. An Amityville resident, Dr. Nunez is the author of eight novels, including Prospero’s Daughter and Anna In-Between. Winner of the American Book Award, she has been hailed by the New York Times as “a master of plotting and pacing,” and four of her novels were selected as New York Times Editors Choice. As well as read from her work, Dr. Nunez will answer questions on the craft of writing memoir and fiction, and how to get published. Dr. Nunez is a Distinguished Professor at Hunter College, CUNY.
