Tom O'Reilly, Ancient Order of Hibernians History, Culture and Traditional committee chairperson presents the history and culture of his native Ireland.  Connecting Americans to their Irish heritage, he discusses An Gorta Mor (the Great Hunger 1845-1852) also known as the potato famine)  He will discuss the time spent with family and friends before departure (referring to as the American wake); the time spent crossing the Atlantic on unsafe ships, life in the big city and their rise in America.
