Third Annual Scarecrow Trail at Caleb Smith State Park Preserve on Jericho Turnpike in Smithtown. Participants pick up free scarecrow frames at the park, decorate and return them. They are then placed along the park trails. Registration required by calling (631) 265-1054 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday to Sunday, from October 1-October 5. Scarecrows to be returned fully costumed by October 17.
