Description

The Good Rats is now officially recognized, by Rolling Stone magazine, as "America's Greatest Unknown Band." Formed in 1969 on Long Island, The Good Rats wasn't just another rock band from the '70s, they had everything. From rockers, to head-boppers, to jazz pieces, to ballads, the Rats mastered all aspects of the music field. They've probably played as many shows as any rock band in history, released numerous albums, usually to positive critical response, and they've shared stages with some of the biggest bands of the '70s. Yet the Good Rats remain virtually unknown outside of their small but loyal cult following.
