Sat, Nov 29, 2014WHAT: The Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District (BID) will be participating in American Express’ Shop Small Business Saturday on November 29, 2014 with its first ever $2,500 Shopping Spree Scavenger Hunt at stores in Great Neck Plaza.
The scavenger hunt involves shoppers discovering the location of 14, 5-foot giraffes located throughout Great Neck Plaza’s downtown shopping district. On November 21, clues to the giraffes’ locations will be provided on the Great Neck Plaza BID’s website. Each giraffe will have a specific letter identified on its torso. The 14 letters spell out the contest’s two-word mystery phrase. Shoppers who decipher the two-word phrase can enter to win the $2,500 shopping spree (second and third place prizes will be $350 shopping sprees) on the Great Neck Plaza BID’s website at www.ShopGreatNeck.com. Entries for the contest will be accepted through midnight on Sunday, November 30. However, the giraffes will only be up on Shop Small Business Saturday.
