Date & Time

Wednesdays 7:00pm to 8:30pm
The relationship with a parent is one of our most meaningful because it is the first relationship we know. In the normal course of events, parents are supposed to die before their children. Therefore, society has a preconceived notion that we are supposed to accept the loss, grieve for an "acceptable" amount of time and move on.
Each person experiences grief in a unique way. Our grief reactions are determined by a number of factors. This bereavement program provides grief support and strength in a safe, caring environment to adults who have lost a parent. The program focuses on the importance of self-care by introducing integrative modalities that help participants learn new ways to ease the heartache of grief and promote a sense of health and well-being.
