Take Southern State Parkway to its end at Heckscher State Park (fee, or free with Empire Pass); meet near the comfort station in Field 6; we will do a leisurely 4-mile loop in the park; if muddy we will stick to the paved path; heavy rain cancels; bring dinner and we can eat by the water after the hike.
