This course is designed for those with little to no previous knowledge of art history. The course will survey the artwork produced in the Dutch Republic during the 17th century, a time known as the Golden Age of Dutch Painting. The course will explore the various genres of paintings, such as portraits, landscapes, scenes of the everyday, and the artists who made them.
