Introduction to Watercolor for Adults: The objective of this class is to introduce students to various watercolor techniques and materials. The class will explore color theory and composition. Students will work from photos and still lives which will be provided by the instructor. . Supplies Needed: • 5.5 x 8.5 140 lb. watercolor pad Canson Montval Brand or Strathmore (Best, not student grade) • 9 x 12 or larger 140 lb. watercolor pad for paintings • 1 large & 1 medium flat (bright) watercolor brush nylon or taklon only • 1 medium & 1 small round brush nylon or taklon only • Tubes of watercolor paint , (Windsor Newton Cotman, Grumbacher Acadamy, Sennelier ,Blick brand.Please do not buy Reeves or Artist Loft) at a minimum you will need ultra-marine blue, viridian green or pthalo green, cadmium yellow light, Cadmium red medium or alizarin crimson. • Small round plastic pallet with wells—2 containers for water—Paper towels • Photographs or objects to work from. • Optional: Flat board…….back of an old cutting board will work
