The Jericho Jewish Center welcomes all who are interested in observing the High Holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur in a warm, family-centered community. The Jericho Jewish Center’s new, young, energetic Rabbi Ben Herman will lead the services accompanied by the Center’s magnificent Cantor Barry Black and choir, promising the services will be invigorating, musical and filled with the spirit of renewal. Plus, each of the high holidays feature a wide range of children’s services that will be both fun and educational.
The services begin with Erev Rosh Hashanah on September 24th, followed by the two days of Rosh Hashanah September 25th and 26th. Yom Kippur begins with Kol Nidre the evening of October 3rd and continues throughout October 4th. Specific times for the various services can be found at the Center’s website at JerichoJC.org.
Complimentary tickets are available for those currently unaffiliated with the Jericho Jewish Center. Those interested must call the Temple's office at 516.938.2540. Availability is limited and some restrictions apply. The Yizkor service on Yom Kippur held at 11:30 am on Saturday, October 4th is always free and open to the public.
On Rosh Hashanah, G-d inscribes each person's fate for the coming year into the Book of Life and on Yom Kippur his verdict is "sealed." The Jericho Jewish Center is proud to offer the opportunity to celebrate the tradition of these High Holidays with individuals, couples, and families within a warm and welcoming community.
