Description

Come on down to The Van Nostrand Theatre to see guest speaker Jacqueline Murekatete, Esq., who was almost 10 years old when her immediate family was murdered during the Rwanda genocide. She will be speaking in honor of the 20th anniversary of the genocide and will discuss how the event could happen and how Rwanda has moved to reconcile with the atrocities of the past. Dr. Shimelis Gulema, Professor of African Studies will be speaking as well about Nelson Mandela.
