Two Bar Mitzvah boys raised funds to restore a 170-year old Torah scroll that was rescued from Germany where it had been buried underground just prior to the outbreak of "The Night of Broken Glass." 77 years later, it will be re-dedicated. Rabbi Dan Wigodsky, who restored the Torah, will speak about the Torah restoration process.
Presented by the Torah Restoration Project in cooperation with the International Synagogue at JFK, the Holocaust Memorial & Tolerance Center of Nassau County, and the Hewlett-East Rockaway Jewish Center. Generously underwritten by Farrell Fritz, P.C.
Admission is free but RSVP in advance is requested. To RSVP, register online at www.TorahRP.org or call (516) 232-5946. Photo ID required for admittance.
