"The day will start with a 3-1/2 hour presentation and lively discussion that runs the gamut from the basics of photography through the advanced principles of sports photography. Along the way Bruce will cover topics including equipment needs, indoor and outdoor lighting, composition, and getting the most from your digital equipment. Although Bruce's forte is hockey photography, this one day course covers the basics of general sports photography with visual guides towards maximizing the opportunities that present themselves at each and every sporting event.
Following the presentation, all will set out for Iceworks Hockey Arena, where photographers can test out what they have learned and can experiment with loaner gear supplied by Tamron, USA.
Then it's back to Berger Bros. Syosset where photographers can have their work critiqued and participants can learn from the experience by sharing what they saw and shot along with what discussing which techniques worked and which ones didn't. The day comes to a close at around 5pm.
LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED!
This course is for advanced amateurs and above. Attendees should have basic photographic knowledge and experience with their camera.
