Date & Time
Every year Long Island Head Start honors individuals and organizations that have made a difference in the lives of the children and families it serves. Honorees are advocates for early childhood education and have supported the agency through partnerships. The Long Island Head Start program promotes school readiness with preschool and family support services of children ages birth to 5 from low-income families. Every year we provide critical services to over 2,000 children and help thousands of Long Islanders learn how to raise healthy happy families. The mission of LIHS is to provide a comprehensive learning environment to children respectful of their cultures and to assist families in reaching self-sufficiency through the combined efforts of parents, community, and staff.
Profits from our 2017 fundraiser gala seats and journal sales will go directly to benefit the Long Island Head Start program.
