Navy Beach is honoring Montauk’s Naval history and continuing its partnership with the Navy SEAL Foundation to help raise awareness and funds with the fifth annual fundraiser for the organization. The Navy SEAL Foundation provides immediate and ongoing support and assistance to the Naval Special Warfare community and its families. On Saturday, June 17th from 3–5 p.m., Navy Beach will host a cocktail party to benefit the Navy SEAL Foundation. The cocktail party will be the official kick-off to a fifth season of fundraising efforts at the restaurant. This year’s event will include remarks by Mike Zapata, a former US Navy SEAL who deployed multiple times to Afghanistan, Iraq, the Horn of Africa, and other locations in the Middle East and West Africa. Mike has been an active supporter of the Navy SEAL Foundation since transitioning out of the military and entering the field of investment management, where he is currently founder and portfolio manager of Sententia Capital Management, a value-investing based capital management fund in New York.
The event will feature wines provided by Turquoise Life, beer by Montauk Brewing Co. and food from signature Navy Beach favorite menu items. In addition, guests will be able to bid on silent auction items and purchase raffle tickets for several prizes. The cost to attend the event is $50 per adult, $25 for veterans, and free for children under 16 (at the door.) Discounted pre-sale tickets are available online via Eventbrite through June 13th. Following the event on June 17th, the restaurant will be open for regular dinner service beginning at 5:30 p.m., and reservations are recommended.
