This workshop is for novel writers who have a work-in-progress. Up to 20 manuscript pages are submitted in advance by email to the class. A round-table discussion of each submission is led by Karen Levine. The format stresses constructive criticism in a supportive atmosphere. Two submissions are discussed each week. The class is limited to eight writers so that each writer will be able to have the benefit of at least one group discussion of his or her work. Participation is the key to learning. In the proper atmosphere, writers will always benefit from critiquing as well as being critiqued.
Karen Rae Levine, an award-winning author with an MFA in Creative Writing, has developed her own successful workshop plan. For learn more about the concept, go to http://liwriters.org/assets/writing-workshop-guidelines.pdf
