Explore four private gardens in Glen Cove, Sands Point, Old Westbury, and Port Washington open for self-guided tours to benefit the Garden Conservancy. Highlights include a collection of antique farm equipment, a croquet lawn with English-style borders, a restored Lord & Burnham greenhouse, turf steps bordered in granite cobblestones views of Long Island Sound, allées of American beech, a beachside marble temple, a formal knot garden, and hundreds of container sporting vibrant annuals and large-leaved tropicals.
