Description

Hot off the heels of releasing her Top 20 Charting Roots CD, “HEART OF LOVE,” Phoebe Legere brings her Music*Party*Fun*Joy Show to Stephen Talkhouse on July 4 at 8 pm.

In what is sure to be one of the most popular musical events of the Hamptons Summer Season, the acclaimed composer, musician, singer, poet and environmental advocate will perform songs from her new CD featuring the powerhouse anthem MEN FROM THE BOYS. The track is a national hymn that celebrates the grit and valor of our men and women in uniform, past and present. Phoebe was born on the Fourth of July and she is descended from a line of warriors who have fought in every major North American battle.

National Radio play for Phoebe’s CD created a thrill and drive for the record that catapulted HEART OF LOVE up the Americana & Roots charts.

HEART OF LOVE is a project crafted from Phoebe Legere’s travels around the country, shaped by the people and the environment she loves so much. The album is a touching, emotional, poignant landscape fashioned from the heart of this poet and modern-day troubadour.

It’s been a banner year for the Musician-Artist-Performer.

Phoebe Legere, has been dubbed The Artist With Heart, by her fans.

Legere has performed thousands of shows from Country Fairs to NPR, from Folk Festivals to the Pow Wow circuit, from Songwriter Circles to a CBS Sunday Morning feature when she won First Runner-Up in “America’s Hottest Accordionist Contest” in Branson, MO.  She has played with Joni Mitchell, David Bowie, Billy Joel, Steve Martin and John Hartford among many other notables.

Phoebe Legere’s new  Americana CD “Heart of Love” is #18 on the ROOTS Americana chart with praises from NPR’s Nick Noble, who called Heart of Love, "one of the most intriguing, exciting albums I've heard this year."

Celebrity Cafe writes:  “She has…fearless…inspiring…artistic integrity."  The New York Times compared her to Jerry Lee Lewis, Edith Piaf and Marilyn Monroe.

Ms. Legere has released 12 CDs of original and traditional music available on iTunes and Spotify.

All proceeds from HEART OF LOVE will be donated to the Foundation For New American Art, a 501(c)3 not-for-profit corporation that Phoebe Legere founded to bring music and art to children in communities where budgets for Arts Education programs have been drastically cut and virtually eliminated.
