In celebration of National Poetry Month in April 2017, the Long Island Arts Council at Freeport, with the sponsorship of Dover Publications, is pleased to announce a poetry contest for high-school students in Nassau County. The Nassau County Student Poetry Contest is open to all students enrolled in grades 9-12 (including home-schooled and tutored children), regardless of experience or previous publication.
