10 a.m. – 11 a.m. – Alzheimer’s 101: The session will cover a basic overview of healthy aging and then discuss what signs to look for, what is dementia, what is Alzheimer’s Disease, the basic progression of the disease and the overall scope of it.

11:15 a.m. – 12:45 p.m. - Concert by Honor By August: Michael Pearsall, lead singer of Honor By August, will also integrate the band’s involvement with the Foundation within the band’s set.

1 p.m. – 2 p.m. – Principals of Dementia Training: Dementia care training and certification will be explained to participants. This is a teaser to the full Dementia Training. Participants will be referred to www.careprofessionals.org, a division of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, for further information.

2 p.m. – 3 p.m. – Music Therapy: How is a song crafted? What triggers lyrics and how do they resonate years after they are written? Michael Pearsall, lead singer of Honor By August, will take participants through the creation of a song and the therapeutic value songwriters get in creating music.

12 p.m. – 3 p.m. – Walk Through Dementia: Experience what it’s like to have dementia through simulation tours (Plaza Rooms, Sondra and David S.
