Reach for the Stars is an annual event put on by the Friends Committee for the Autism Program at Brookville Center for Children’s Services Autism. This year's event will be honoring Rock Out Autism an organization that puts on a yearly concert to benefit Brookville Center.
A year-round program located on the Brookville Campus of AHRC Nassau, the autism program is committed to the systematic use of Applied Behavioral Analysis as the most effective methodology of teaching children with austim. Further, the program provides children an individualized education that takes into account each child’s strengths, as well as skill deficits, and teaches the skills needed to increase their ability to communicate and function independently.
The Friends Committee for the Autism Program is a dedicated group of parent and community volunteers who have joined together in the mission of raising funds to support the Autism Program and the children’s intensive educational and life needs.
