Sayville High School Career Day

Sayville High School Career Day will take place on November 11th. Event will be held from 7:45-9:15 AM at the high school.

We are asking any Chamber member interested in discussing the job they do, the business they own, or other business related topics to participate.  It will be a great opportunity for the students to hear from a business person in the community about how they got started, what it takes to own or operate a business, and learn some life lessons.
 
The format for Career Day will be to have two to three, twenty to thirty minute sessions where students will be able to sit with a Chamber member in small groups to ask questions and listen to that Chamber member discuss what they do, how they do it, and what it takes to do what they do.  Students can visit more than one business at the conclusion of each session.
 
In addition, we will be kicking off a drive for Internships for students in local businesses as well starting in January 2015.  Participating in Career Day would be a great opportunity to discuss any internship opportunities you may have and meet with prospective students to fill that position.  Internships can be paid or unpaid.
