Description

We hear scientists talking about the effects of climate change around the world, yet we often don’t realize how much of an effect climate change is having right here on Long Island. Harbor Seals are our winter visitors from the arctic, and they are undergoing some serious stresses due to the changing climate.

In this program you will learn just how much climate change is affecting the Harbor Seal population in our area and what that might mean for our odds seeing seals in Montauk, in the winter time.

Advanced reservations are required for all events. For more information, reservations, and directions to meeting places, please call: (631) 537-9735.

Programs are free for SoFo members. Non-members: $10 per adult, $7.50 per child 3-12 years of age, 2 and under are free. Fees include free admission to the museum on the day of the event.
