Date & Time
Choreographed by Marius Petipa, Sleeping Beauty is in synchronization with strict association of the music written by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikowski. The timeless themes of a young girl's coming of age and the triumph of good over evil are skillfully developed though the intense dramatic and music in the course of the ballet. Petipa makes a full use of the dramatic potential in a classical ballet, as when Princess Aurora's curved perspective become perceptive arabesques and her balances emerge steadily and surer.
