The 5th Annual Southampton SeptemberFest will take place September 25 -27 in Southampton Village with a weekend of activities that celebrate art, music, dance, food, entertainment and the rich history of our community.
The weekend kicks off with a Cocktail Party on Friday night, 9/25, sponsored by the Southampton Rotary Club in Agawam Park. Wine and craft beer plus savories from local food trucks will be available, with music by Beau Hulse and a special performance by County Line Band, underwritten by Storms. Proceeds from the event support the Rotary Club’s Scholarship & Endowment Fund.
Throughout the weekend there will be events for the the entire family including concerts in Agawam Park by Hopefully Forgiven, Next Level Band, Black & Sparrow and Lynn Blue Band, Charles Certain and Certain Moves, and a special drumming session by Dan Bailey Tribe. In addition there will be the popular Taste of Southampton chowder contest, food vendors providing seasonal fare, live demonstrations by the Maniac Pumpkin Carvers, Stagecoach rides from Wells Fargo and juggling and beat boxing performances by Jester Jim. Plus pumpkin decorating, face painting by Fancy Faces by Kathy and Fun 4 U Faces, the Farmers Market, Friends of the Library Book Sale, juried art show, arts and crafts vendors, live music throughout the Village, a dance performance and lessons by Argentine Tango Lovers of LI, Art in the Park by Southampton Artists Association and the Harvest Day Fair. New events this year will commemorate Southampton’s 375th anniversary, including a historical Scavenger Hunt and a photo booth complete with historical costumes to dress up in.
Southampton SeptemberFest continues to grow in popularity each year and has become the premier fall festival providing the opportunity for residents and visitors to celebrate Southampton Village during one of the most beautiful times of the year. Organized by leading civic, cultural and business groups, SeptemberFest is a collaboration between Rogers Memorial Library, Southampton Arts Center, Southampton Chamber of Commerce, Southampton Cultural Center, Southampton Historical Museum, Southampton Rotary Club and the Village of Southampton.
