2017 marks the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage in New York State. The library invites you to a Suffrage Rally at which Alva Vanderbilt Belmont is scheduled to speak. At this one act play you will learn about the horrific ordeals women fought in order to secure a place within our country while demanding social reform and why a portion of the female population refused to acknowledge the need for voting rights.
