In celebration of the “Wonder of Water,” the Long Island Pine Barrens Society is pleased to honor Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano for having prioritized water quality improvement as their number one goal in their respective counties and Dr. Christopher Gobler, of the School of Marine and Atmospheric Sciences at Stony Brook University, for his marine science research and his public education commitment.
