The 8^th Annual Blessing of the Animals is Back in New York

Christ Church Offers Individual Blessings  to All Kinds of Pets Including NYPD Horses, Guinea Pigs, Cats, Dogs, Exotic Birds, Fish, Reptiles, and farm animals including a Llama, Alpaca, Sheep, Goat and Chickens

Hosted by Cindy Adams, New York Post, Cornell University Veterinary Specialists and College of Veterinary Medicine, The Baker Institute for Animal Health, and Distinguished Philanthropists

WHAT:      

Hundreds of pet parents from throughout New York will come to Christ Church of Manhattan for the annual Blessing of the Animals event. The event will feature New York City Senior Minister Stephen Bauman of Christ Church and Central Synagogue Rabbi Emeritus Peter J. Rubinstein, who will offer blessings to many different species of animals. In addition, there will also be musical performances by local high school choirs to celebrate the holiday season, a collection of donated animal toys for pets of the Humane Society of New York, and a processional of adoptable animals from the Humane Society down the aisle. Each year the event draws a passionate and distinguished crowd of animal lovers who come to spread holiday cheer.

The event is organized by New York Post columnist Cindy Adams, New York Post and co-sponsored by Cornell University Veterinary Specialists and College of Veterinary Medicine, The Baker Institute for Animal Health, and philanthropists Mary and Kathryn Kalikow, and John Catsimatidis.
