In recognition of the truly precious gift that God’s creatures bring to our daily lives, The Church of St. Jude will hold its 11th annual St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals.
We welcome individuals and pets from all faith traditions.
In order to encourage the continued care for animals in our local community, St. Jude has once again invited The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter and Last Hope Animal Shelter to bring animals in need of forever homes for adoption.
Children who are unable to bring their live pet are encouraged to bring a stuffed animal in their place.
The event will take place in the St. Francis Memorial Garden located at the rear of the parish parking lot.
