North Shore Historical Museum
Alfred Hitchcock's North by Northwest, starring Cary Grant, Eva Marie Saint and James Mason, will be shown at the North Shore Historical Museum on Saturday, September 13, 2014. This film, which was released 55 years ago, has scenes filmed at locations on Long Island, including Old Westbury Gardens, and inside the courtroom of the 1907 Justices Court Building in Glen Cove. The Justices Court Building served at the time as the City of Glen Cove's Court and Glen Cove Police Headquarters.
This building is currently the home of the North Shore Historical Musuem, and has been restored to the original plans of the building from 1907. The restored courtroom is nearly identical to scenes in the movie.
The showing is sponsored jointly by the Office of Assemblyman Chuck Lavine, the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce, and the Glen Cove Business Improvement District.
