Description

One of the most unusual chapters of Oakdale history in the Peace Haven Years occurred when James B. Schafer founder of the Royal Fraternity of Master Metaphysycians purchased the former Vanderbilt Mansion as a retreat for his followers.  Diane Holliday, local author and Dowling College archivist will speak on this interesting chapter in local history.
