Most career experts agree that cultivating and identifying transferable skills is important for people making career choices and changes. Many people, however, have difficulty in defining exactly what transferable skills are. There are 3 types of skills: Adaptive (patience, flexibility); Job-related (particular to a type of job, e.g. repairing a car engine, word processing); and Transferable (general skills useful in a variety of positions, e.g. instructing, coaching, analyzing).
Life & career coach Stan Broitman will help you identify your transferable skills by taking the Transferable Skills Scale and show you how to search for the job(s) that will suit your unique skill set.
