Trisect, a 3-piece Psychedelic Jamband from Long Island, NY formed in May 2015. The founders of the band are Jared Cowen and Alec Goldstein. Jared started getting involved in music from a very young age, learning the guitar at only age 4, and seeing Phish concerts with his parents as an infant. Jared and Alec formed many bands from Middle School to High school, but Trisect is the one that stuck. The band, only being in High School and a few months old have already accomplished so much. Since May of 2015, the band has played many venues across Long Island, and plan to release an EP in 2016.
In October 2015, Trisect replaced an old keyboardist with a new and improved keyboardist/vocalist, John Bologna. John brought a whole new aspect to the band with his heavy background in theater and experience as a vocalist. Much like Jared, John is very well advanced in music and started playing from a very young age.
Trisect keeps the setlists fresh from show to show, mixing in covers and originals. Influences and covered artists include: Phish, the Grateful Dead, the Disco Biscuits, Twiddle, moe., Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Billy Joel, Led Zeppelin, etc. Stapled originals in the repertoire include: Can't Cut The Mustard, Touche, Cyd and Ontron, Chimera, Dick Turk, Serendipity, Full Sovereignty, Hot and Sweet,etc. All written and sung by Jared.
