The Water Mill Museum will be opening its doors for the season beginning on May 26th. Located in a historic mill, built in 1644, the Museum is proud to share the history of the Water Mill, and serve as a cultural center for the hamlet. This year’s seasonal exhibit, A Home, A Heart: Rediscovering the Historic Houses of Water Mill will showcase historic photographs from the Museum’s archive to educate guests about Water Mill’s history through the lens of its private homes. Throughout the year, the Museum will host a number of art shows, a walking tour of Water Mill, and children’s milling workshops. The Museum will also be holding its 30th annual quilt show and celebrating the 40th anniversary of its first quilt raffle this year.
There will be an opening reception held at the Museum on Saturday, June 4 from 5-7 pm.
