Description

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Long Island Chapter Inc., presents "Kwanzaa Celebration 2012".

This FREE annual event is an affirmation of the Seven Principles of Kwanzaa featuring reflections by local nonprofit, government, and community leaders and is presented to the community as a special holiday gift.  The event will feature special performances by the Gloria Eve School of Dance and April Armstrong, singer and storyteller.  Join us as we gather together to collectively reaffirm a spirit of faith, family, and culture.

This holiday season, giving to those in need is the greatest gift.  Please bring canned/boxed goods to this event which will be donated to Bethany House in Roosevelt, Nassau County and Madonna Heights in Dix Hills, Suffolk County.

Also, please join us in celebrating the true spirit of Kwanzaa by choosing to dress in traditional African attire.

This event will take place  on Tuesday, December 18th, 7pm at the Hempstead Public Library, Community Room at 115 Nichols Court in Hempstead.
