LONG ISLAND CULTURE TAKES CENTER STAGE AT HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS STONY BROOK
For the eight spectacular weeks of Summer, Holiday Inn Express Stony Brook is hosting eight dynamic shows to celebrate Long Island’s own unique culture and history.
Every Friday night in July and August 6-8:30pm, the hotel will feature FREE performances on the lawn outside the hotel for guests and non-guests alike who want to experience a bit of what Long Island has to offer in the form of entertainment under the stars. All you have to do is bring your lawn chair or beach blanket and enjoy the show!
Holiday Inn Express Stony Brook takes you back to the 50’s with a doo wop concert and car show, heats up the night with a tribal & belly dancers extravaganza and will make your sides ache with Long Island’s own funniest comedians plus a show stopping magician. Face painting, popcorn and FREE child/senior id kits will be available, plus vendors displaying various goods and services.
Other LI Culture Connection shows include Zumba on the Lawn, LI Reptiles & Birds of Prey, hometown theater under the stars and a grand finale back to school fashion show.
“Holiday Inn Express Stony Brook LI Culture Connection spotlights Long Island history, unique culture and diverse nationalities to show guests and community members the wealth of talent LI has to offer,” said Tanya Lee, the hotel’s promotions, marketing and sales development manager.
“Long Island has such a gift to offer local residents as well as guests visiting from out of town, that it was just natural for us to host the eight week Summer Concert Series”, said Lee. “We are proud to showcase Long Island’s theatre, music, arts & entertainment and entice visitors to further explore what Long Island has to offer in the area’s of culture and history.
